To draw the connection between the letters and the photographies a bit further I chose to fram the letters and also to print them in blue, just as the photographies. Therefore I created some metal letters for the books headers with the intentions to fake the experience of being bended metal photographed from above. The publication was created to be a part of the Book on the Fritz – Photo Book Exhibition. This printed matter is an homage to the material, its beauty and its functions. If the old hip-hop group Aphrodelics only knew how speaking their song title Rollin’ on chrome is for today’s modern society, because the world is literally rollin’ on chrome and other metals. It is in your pocket, in our bodies and even in this publication. How would we survive without metals today, it is everywhere.
